Meet Molly
Molly, a dedicated theatre artist and educator based in the Austin, TX area alongside her family, thrives on the challenge of crafting poignant and impactful art. With a fervent dedication, she not only endeavors to create meaningful pieces herself but also encourages her students to explore the depths of their own creativity. Having honed her craft with prestigious theatre companies such as SITI Company, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, and Williamstown Theatre Festival, Molly brings a wealth of experience to her work. She holds an M.F.A. in Acting from Indiana University and a B.A. in Theatre from Bloomsburg University, grounding her practice in both academic rigor and practical application. While her training exposed her to a diverse array of theatre methodologies, Molly found herself drawn to the expressive potential of Suzuki/Viewpoints movement exploration and the transformative power of Patsy Rodenburg’s vocal techniques. Integrating these approaches into her artistic and educational endeavors, she utilizes Suzuki to delve into the body’s connection to the earth, Viewpoints to unlock boundless creativity, and Rodenburg’s teachings to empower both herself and her students to discover their authentic voices.
Molly's artistic scope knows no bounds, encompassing Shakespearean classics, devised works, new productions, Musical Theatre, Noh, and children’s theatre alike. Yet, regardless of the genre, she approaches each project with an insatiable curiosity and a commitment to weaving narratives that resonate with contemporary societal themes and timeless human experiences. Driven by a passion for inquiry, collaboration, and the profound connections forged through storytelling, Molly's artistic and educational pursuits are imbued with a deep sense of purpose and authenticity.
